Captec has launched a new range of rugged tablets and semi-rugged tablet computers designed to provide powerful mobile computing platforms for specialist applications and survive a range of challenging environments, from warehouse management to offshore maintenance and battlefield operations.

The fully ruggedized tablets offer sunlight readable 10.4” multi-touch display and 7” touch screen models, providing dependable operation, even with the roughest handling in severe weather. Both have IP65 ingress and salt spray protection, plus full MIL-STD810G shock & vibration protection. The semi-rugged sunlight readable 10.1” multi-touch display model has similar shock & vibration protection with IP43 ingress protection. Hot swap batteries and long battery life (up to 12 hours) gives indefinite uninterrupted operation avoiding down time at critical moments. Versatile connectivity is provided by serial, USB and LAN connections, plus extensive wireless connectivity ensuring communication is maintained at all times. A wide range of accessories and Windows or Linux operating systems support many specialist applications according to needs.
