July 31, 2013 // By Christoph Hammerschmidt
Embedded application test software provider Vector Software announced today that their VectorCAST embedded software test suite has been integrated with the Autosar architecture. This demonstrates that the test platform is suitable for use by automotive software developers complying with ISO 26262 testing and code coverage requirements, and also using the Autosar architecture.

The Automotive Open System Architecture (Autosar) is an open and standardized automotive software architecture, jointly developed by automobile manufacturers, suppliers and software developers with the goal to establish an open standard for software architectures in vehicles.

The goal of Autosar is to provide standardized implementations of basic system functions to allow easier scalability, reuse, and maintainability of automotive software.
