Hi-voltage MLCC targets automotive environments

Designed for high voltage automotive electronics in both conventional and hybrid electric vehicles, the MLCC Series is rated for 630-3000V and qualified to AEC-Q200.

Passive components manufacturer AVX has added a series of high voltage multilayer ceramic chip capacitors to its automotive product lineup. Available in chip sizes spanning 1206 to 2220, the X7R High Voltage Automotive MLCCs are rated for voltages spanning 630V to 3000V and capacitance values spanning 100pF to 0.15µF. Exhibiting low ESR and FLEXITERM terminations for enhanced mechanical reliability, the series targets high voltage automotive electronics in both standard and hybrid electric vehicles, especially as snubbers, resonators, filters, and DC blocking caps in high voltage multipliers, high frequency power converters, and switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
