MOSFET with very low resistance aims at Power Steering applications

40V N-Channel PowerTrench MOSFET helps designers with these challenges.

Utilizing the company's prorietary shielded-gate technology, the FDB9403 improves resistance and reduces capacitance. The device delivers a 20 percent lower RDS(ON) than its closest competitors, as well as a low Qg value that reduces power dissipation and ultimately improves overall efficiency. As a fundamental switch for electrical current control, the FDB9403 MOSFET controls the electrical power without wasting it, making it suited for electrical power steering, suspension control and power train management applications.

The device features an RDS(ON) of 1mΩ which guarantees low power dissipation and high efficiency. The product is AEC Q101 qualified. It is available in D2PAK TO-263 package; price is $2.48 in quantities of 1000.
