Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Europe GmbH has added the company's POSCAP and OS-CON capacitors to their distribution channels in Europe.

“The Panasonic POSCAP and OS-CON capacitors are expected to have a growing market demand in Europe as they offer a wide range of values to complete the Panasonic portfolio of Polymer and low ESR Capacitors. While being widely used in digital and telecommunication applications around the world, we are expecting to expand their usage in automotive applications, industrial equipment and everything related towards future environmental energy reduction,” said Matthias Frey, Product Marketing Director Electronic Devices Section.

POSCAP is a solid electrolytic chip capacitor. The anode is sintered tantalum and the cathode is a highly conductive polymer. POSCAP has a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) level and excellent performance for high frequency while maintaining a low profile and high capacitance. In addition, it has high reliability and high heat resistance.

All the models are completely Pb-free and RoHS compliant products and offer long life at elevated temperature. The devices provide a wide capacitance range from 1 μF to 2700 μF.  High reliability products have achieved the highest rated voltage up to 100 V.

The POSCAP is a smoothing, backup and bypass capacitor used in various applications such as industrial equipment; automotive systems; Power supplies; DC/DC converters and telecommunication and network equipment.
