Power inductors target electric vehicle applications

Start-stop systems for hybrid and electric vehicles are very demanding applications in terms of high-current handling and filtering. For these applications, high-inductance, high-power components are required. Coilcraft now offers a series of shielded power inductors that are particularly designed for such applications. The AGP4233 series comprises twelve standard inductance values from 6.8 to 470 µH, with current ratings up to 101.8 Amps. Custom values are also available.

These inductors feature flat wire windings which result in particularly low DC and AC resistance. Their vertical, through-hole mounting provides a small footprint and solderable tabs extend from the shield for increased board stability. Thee inductors are halogen free and have RoHS compliant tin-silver over copper terminations.

The AGP4233 Series also meets AEC-Q200 Grade 1 standards (-40°C to +125°C), making these inductors suitable for use in harsh automotive environments.
